Welcome To Build-To-Order Webstore Creator 4.6 User Guide
Installation
Click and run the setup.exe to start the Build-to-order Webstore Creator v4.6 setup program. Follow the step-by-step instructions to complete the installation. Note that even though the screenshot titles were version 4.0, it is still applicable to this latest version 4.6.
System Requirements
Windows 95/NT/98 to run the setup program;
6MB space or more;
Personal Web Server or Internet Information Server to test run the webstore from your computer.
Website should be hosted in NT web server with 'File Access' right granted. Contact the technical support of your ISP for assistance if the 'File Access' right of your website was set to 'Read Only'.

Storefront System
Before you can run this webstore system, please make sure that you have installed Personal Web Server (or Internet Information Server on Windows NT or 2000) in your Windows.
Personal Web Server program installer software can be found from Windows 98 Installer CD, which is inside [Add-Ons] and then [PWS] directory.
By default, the internet root directory of the Personal Web Server will be installed in this file location:
C:\InetPub\wwwroot\
The setup program of Webstore Creator 4.0 will create a new folder [webstore] in the installed folder.
After this setup process, please copy the [webstore] folder to the internet root directory. This will become:
C:\InetPub\wwwroot\webstore\
Now, you are ready to test run the webstore system in your web browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape 4.0 or above). Please
run your web browser software.
Locate the webstore address, such as:
http://localhost/webstore/home.htm
(Note that the exact webstore location URL will vary depending on your subfolder name inside the internet root directory.)
Below is the screenshot of the Webstore Creator storefront system running in Personal Web Server (or Internet Information Server on Windows NT or 2000)on the web browser:


Click on the 'Categories' icon to see all the categories:

Select one Main Category. In this example, this is a Computer store. User can select 'Pentium Series' so that he can build-to-order a Pentium Computer System based on his own spectifications.

The base price for this Pentium system is $2560.00. You can buy multiple Pentium Systems by entering a quantity, and click on 'SubTotal' button to update the sub total price.
If you want to change the specifications of the default Pentium system, you can select from the drop down box of each component:

The current price of the Pentium System will be updated after selecting another type of component:

Store Manager determines prices of different components inside the Store Manager Control Panel.
You can also click on the 'Information' button if you want to find more detailed information regarding the specific component:

A new browser window will be displayed. The product display contains the product image, title, description and price as entered by the Store Manager:

Close this new browser after you read the description to go back to the storefront system.
To put this order into the shopping cart, click on 'Put In Basket' button:

You will be confirmed by the storefront system about the subtotal before adding to shopping basket:

If the price is correct, click on 'OK' button. You will see the 'Total' field at the left side is updated:

You can continue to shop for other items by selecting a category or do a product search.
Store Manager Control Panel

To enter Store Manager Control Panel, you have to provide Store Manager password that is defined during the installation process.
Below is the screenshot of Store Manager Control Panel on the web browser:


Click on "Add" to add a build-to-order package.


Click "View All" to view all existing packages.

Click on package ID (e.g. 00001) to edit product package.

Edit any package information and click on "UPDATE" to update package information.

Click "Delete" to delete any product package.
Note
: All the components within the package will be deleted.
Click "Add Category" to add a product category.


Click "View All" to view all the existing product category.

Click Category ID (e.g. 8) to edit category name.


Click "DELETE" to delete category.

Click "Add" to add product.

Select one of the product types.



Click "View All" to view all existing products.


Click "delete" to delete product

Click "OK" to confirm delete.
Click "Edit" to edit product.

fill out the information and click "UPDATE" to edit product.

Click "DELETE" to delete product.

Click "OK" to confirm delete.
Click Edit to edit product.

fill out the information and click "UPDATE".

Click "Pending Orders" to view pending orders.
